1: Who am I?
Storyteller. Explorer. Lover of the world entire.
2: What do you do and what project are you currently working on?
I’m a TV producer, camera operator, media host, writer, photographer, and every now and again editor. Though responsibilities vary, everything I do funnels toward one central goal – telling the world’s stories.
3: Where are you from and where are you going?
From – Dayton, OH. Resident of – Los Angeles, CA. Going – the rest of the world. And outer space, too. (Virgin Galactic: Call me sometime.)
4: Who is your biggest hero?
Women like Mariana van Zeller who face the world and tell the tough stories.
5: What book is your bible?
Any notebook I can scribble in as I roam.
6: What are some things you love? And some things you hate?
Love: People watching. Avocado. Gustavo Santaolalla. Craft beer. Anthony Bourdain’s sass. NASA’s Astronomy Picture of the Day.
Don’t love: Closed-mindedness. Tangled hangers. Burma’s political system. The smell of cooked broccoli.
7: What is your raison d’être?
Learning from and teaching others about the world.
8: What is your favorite color?

11: What turns you on?
Good food. Unless I eat too much and get really full. In which case, I’m no longer turned on.

What scares you in a good way?
Rachel Rudwall is a TV producer, camera operator, media host, writer, photographer and editor. She is best described as a “storyteller,” one who wants desperately to “tell the world’s stories.” She has traveled the world many times over and will now be a correspondent and writer for our Latitudes travel section where you will soon see updates from her and others about people, places and happenings the world over.
