Hair Stylist, Educator
2: What do you do and what project are you currently working on?
Hair Stylist building my East Coast clientele, educating New York City hair stylist and working on editorial photography.
3: Where are you from and where are you going?
Kansas -> San Francisco -> New York City -> and possibly London.
4: Who is your biggest hero?
Is it bad to say myself? Moving across the country at 35, restarting my life and my career was a challenge to say the least. I’m amazed at my resilience and fortitude.
5: What book is your bible?
Comfortable with Uncertainty by Pema Chodron
6: What are some things you love? And some things you hate?
Hate: House pets, hangovers, fruit pie, loogies. Love: Guys opening doors for me, the smell of fresh snow, Purell, and any food with a raw quail egg.
7: What is your raison d’être?
Love and human connection.
8: What is your favorite color?
Since I was a little girl my favorite color has always been black
9: Who is your favorite comic book superhero?
10: What is your favorite NYC hot spot?
Lucky Strike happy hour is my Hot Spot!
11: What turns you on?
I’m turned on about 95% of the day. Too much to even list.

Kelly joins Alibi from San Francisco as a specialist in cut and styling. As an experienced TIGI, Toni & Guy art team member, Platform artist and salon educator that has been found teaching classes throughout CA and the west coast for the past 10 years. She has extensive technical training from London, New york and LA. Since moving to NY Kelly has been working on location free-lance, building her clientele at Alibi and working with well-known photographers on editorial photo shoots in the city.
Her friendly approach and ability to listen offers all types of clients that gratifying relationship they always searched for. Using this ability to listen to clients and offer great suggestions keep them coming back. Kelly shares her all-encompassing passion and knowledge by heading up the weekly in salon cutting program for assistance, staff and New York city hairdressers looking for advanced education.
