Who Am I ?

DIANA WARNER

An Introduction to DIANA WARNER

April 2011

1: Who am I?

Diana Warner.

2: What do you do and what project are you currently working on?

I am a jewelry/accessories designer, brand carried in 700 stores, and working on the construction of our DWNY flagship store this month—it is taking up my life!

3: Where are you from and where are you going?

From: the great hills of Tennessee raised with all men.
Going: to be a house hold name in fashion, but going to be known as “the nice girl” in fashion.

4: Who is your biggest hero?

My mom and dad, my grandparents…oh yeah, and my divorce lawyer…

5: What book is your bible?

The Bible–no, seriously–like the Holy Book. Love the poetry, love the history, and love the mystery of it all!

6: What are some things you love? And some things you hate?

Love: my dog, the smell of fresh paint, the morning sunshine, to spin at Flywheel Sports, my employees, laughing so hard my stomach hurts, relationships that feel like they have been around for hundreds of years before this life and will be around for hundreds of years after this life, amazing food,  sex, beautiful fashion, grand architecture, small houses, and old Land Rovers in Africa.
Hate: pickles, raw onions, and yellow mustard.

7: What is your raison d’être?

I exist to see people smile, to help them tell their stories, and to encourage them to live outside the boundaries of their fears.

8: What is your favorite color?

The color of my soul is magenta.

9: Who is your favorite comic book superhero?

Superman, because he is hot and I have a crush on him. I pretend to be Wonder Woman sometimes however.

10: What is your favorite NYC hot spot?

Well, I love the food at the Breslan; love to walk around the West Village; love a quiet night at Tea and Sympathy; and I love to walk on the boardwalk in my hood (Long Island City).

11: What turns you on?

A good sense of style. Really brainy men. I love a confident man who can joke with me. I love a man with a sense of adventure and a childlike heart. My dream man would be really successful, ambitious, and passionate with a childlike heart.

12: What would the last question of this questionnaire be if you were the one asking?

Q: What color underpants are you wearing right now?

Diana Warner,  New York jewelry designer, has been creating art since childhood. Growing up, Diana was influenced by two separate worlds–the world of brothers, sports, and the outdoors; and the world of dance class, girlie glitter, and glamour. Diana developed a taste for the juxtaposition of the two worlds and the unexpected combinations that resulted.
