1: Who am I?
Nia Schindle: born Canadian, honorary New Yorker, textile junkie.
2: What do you do and what project are you currently working on?
I’m a graduate (BSc in Textile Sciences at University of Manitoba) and a student (AAS in Fashion Merchandising Management at Fashion Institute of Technology), a blogger (www.liveglamordie.com), and an intern at ELLE Magazine. Currently I’m working on graduating (again) and finding a job in this glorious industry called fashion. Hire me?
3: Where are you from and where are you going?
From: Argyle, Manitoba, Canada.
Now: Upper East Side, Manhattan.
Going: The beautiful unknown.
4: Who is your biggest hero?
My parents! They are amazing human beings.
5: What book is your bible?
Does WWD, the newspaper, count?
6: What are some things you love? And some things you hate?
Love: ketchup, my dogs, Prada SS11, unicorns, color, dreaming, people.
Hate: the word ‘hate’ and going without lipstick.
7: What is your raison d’être?
To do something beautiful with my life.
8: What is your favorite color?
Any color you can find in the sky.
9: Who is your favorite comic book superhero?
Veronica from the Archie comics. Veronica > Betty!
10: What is your favorite NYC hot spot?
Under St. Marks is always fun (94 St. Marks Place)! And anywhere in the East Village, really.
11: What turns you on?
Coffee, The Black Keys, beards, Grace Coddington, guitarists, and anything Proenza Schouler.
12: What would the last question of this questionnaire be if you were the one asking?

Originally from Argyle, Manitoba, Canada, Nia received her Bachelor of Science in Textile Sciences (Product Development Stream) at the University of Manitoba. Pairing her love for writing, art, fashion, and textiles, she began her blog Live Glam or Die in February 2009 and moved to New York City in August 2010 where she currently interns at ELLE magazine and continues to pursue further studies at the Fashion Institute of Technology. With graduation in July 2011 fast approaching, Nia will be entering the world of fashion full-time, pursuing a career in design and fashion forecasting and analysis.
