Who Am I ?
1: Who am I?
Creator. Destroyer. Visionary. Dreamer – I am not.
I am performance artist, a director of high-concept erotica film, manager of a small production house called hausNY, and creative director of showroom/atelier False Gallery. For fun, I write a weekly column on Bushwick Daily and play with my gorgeous one-eyed cat, Matt.
2: What do you do and what project are you currently working on?
I am moving hausNY from it’s current location–much to the dismay of my collaborators and partners–to a smaller location, in order to amp up for a larger production space in 2012/2013, and to shoot more often on location, worldwide. My next two personal projects are performance and film collaborations with video & art director David Terranova and art director & designer Savannah Wyatt.
My next production project is tentatively titled “The Swan.” A short abstract erotica film based on my studies of human behavior, theories of Freud and Rousseau, which will explore the duplicity which occurs in sexuality when efforts are made to self-deprecate as punishment for commonplace failures to achieve unrealistic goals. I have tentative plans for it to help fund my feature-length, realistic rendition of “Black Swan,” bloody feet and cunnilingus, inclusive. Who wants in? (Support the cause on hausNY.com.)
3: Where are you from and where are you going?
From the USSR and equality through censorship–to the USSA, where one day I hope to fight on the battlefront of art and pornography, as I dance on the fine line between.
4: Who is your biggest hero?
5: What book is your bible?
Oak-Mot by Crispin Hellion Glover.
6: What are some things you love? And some things you hate?
Love: Consensual Violence.
Hate: Violence without consent.
7: What is your raison d’être?
To visually induce a perpetual state of erotic lunacy.
8: What is your favorite color?
9: Who is your favorite comic book superhero?
The Doubtful Guest created by Edward Gorey.
10: What is your favorite NYC hot spot?
Coney Island, rock-side, by night.
11: What turns you on?
Terror and tension.
12: What would the last question of this questionnaire be if you were the one asking?
If you find yourself on a death-bed, many years from now, and think back on your life. What will be your greatest regret?
