Who Am I ?
1: Who am I?
2: What do you do and what project are you currently working on?
I photograph life: my life. I travel and am involved in a subculture; both allow me a certain privileged access. Through this access, an experience happens, which is usually a pretty memorable one. I like to photograph that experience, capture a little piece of the pleasure. I also have a blog where I share thoughts and stories with my pictures.
3: Where are you from and where are you going?
I’m from Chicago and New York is where I will stay. I plan on going to India and Spain and Argentina by year’s end.
4: Who is your biggest hero?
My Dad, my Mom, and Woody Allen.
5: What book is your bible?
Honestly, Oh the Places You Will Go by Dr. Seuss. It gave me goosebumps the first time I read it, many years ago. I went out and bought it for myself, which made me feel silly because I feel like it’s one of those books that should be given to you as a gift. I suppose it was a gift to myself. I love it; it’s so uplifting and quirky.
6: What are some things you love? And some things you hate?
I love peanut butter, bananas and coffee for breakfast.
I hate, but end up using, exclamation points.
I love old French music, good art, great conversations with interesting people while making their portrait and I love the experience of meals.
I hate abrupt loud noises and sunny days that are cold but look warm (like in the springtime). I also hate milk.
And I love making lists, crossing off the list, and throwing away the lift. Then moving on to the next list. Oh, and I LOVE Jamaica.
7: What is your raison d’être?
To laugh, eat and fuck.
8: What is your favorite color?
Blue. And the many shades of it.
9: Who is your favorite comic book superhero?
I’ve always liked Wonder Woman. Although Catwoman had the best outfit by far, very tasteful and not overdone.
10: What is your favorite NYC hot spot?
My apartment in Williamsburg. I love Williamsburg.
11: What turns you on?
Sincerity, talent, passion, confidence
12: What would the last question of this questionnaire be if you were the one asking?
What is your favorite animal, taxidermies?
