Who Am I ?

July 2011

1: Who am I?

A young man by the name of Travis DeWind.

2: What do you do and what project are you currently working on?

I am a musician (Nate in Public), model, production coordinator, and event coordinator.  Other than writing music and trying to build the portfolio for castings, I keep busy working with an amazing film, event, and media production company by the name of Drewstone Productions. It’s a young driven company that I am proud to be part of. I strongly believe Drewstone is the next big production company of my generation. At the moment, the Drewstone Production team is working on a few film projects and more and more projects just keep coming our way. It’s good to be busy.

3: Where are you from and where are you going?

I am from a little village in upstate New York named Clifton Springs–it’s near the Finger Lakes. I am going wherever I can. I love to travel.

4: Who is your biggest hero?

My  grandparents. They inspire me so much. My grandmother is a loving mother and grandmother, and my grandfather is a World War II veteran, along with a poet. He writes about a poem a day and half of them are about my grandmother.  Their life is like The Notebook minus the Alzheimer’s.

5: What book is your bible?

Film Production Management 101.

6: What are some things you love?  And some things you hate?

I love the simple things like a nice sunset, the smell of grass, and the taste of Sour Patch Kids. I hate nothing.

7: What is your raison d’être?

Friends and family! Its cliché, but so true!

8: What is your favorite color?

Baby blue. I have been told that it brings out my eyes.

9: Who is your favorite comic book superhero?

Duke, from GI Joes. He always had the best one liners.

10: What is your favorite NYC hot spot?

Prospect Park represent!

11: What turns you on?

A girl named Erin.

12: What would the last question of this questionnaire be if you were the one asking?

What would a chair look like if your knees bent the other way?

Travis DeWind recently graduated from SUNY Fredonia with a degree in Psychology and a minor in History. During college, he was busy in a band named Nate in Public that created two albums on iTunes and was able to play on the Vans Warped Tour. In 2008, Rochester Inside magazine voted their song  “Moon” to be the best local song of the year, and in 2009, AP Magazine put them on the top unsigned artist of 2009. Currently, he is still writing new music and keeping busy with Drewstone Productions. He is also working with a few modeling agencies trying to find the best fitting one to his image before he signs.
