1: Who am I?

Legs Malone.

2: What do you do and what project are you currently working on?

I am a burlesque performer and am currently putting together a European tour for the late summer/early fall. It will be my first time performing at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and I am over the moon to perform there!

3: Where are you from and where are you going?

I was born in Manhattan (living in Brooklyn now) and I am going onto stages across the world, spreading my art in the most undressed of ways.

4: Who is your biggest hero?

I’d have to say a tie: Yves Klein and Julie Atlas Muz.

5: What book is your bible?

I don’t know if I have just one–more like a small library of them. The Untethered Soul by Michael Singer is amazing as is The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle. They came into my life at just the right time.

6: What are some things you love? And some things you hate?

I love authenticity–people who act from their selves and their hearts.

I can’t stand people who aren’t willing to look at themselves and their actions in an honest way and consider for a moment that they are just like the person they pass in the street.

7: What is your raison d’être?

To dance my love, and share my art, happiness as far and as wide as I humanly and divinely can.

8: What is your favorite color?

Hydrangea blue.

9: Who is your favorite comic book superhero?

Don’t have one unless there’s a superhero hiding somewhere in the Archie comics…

10: What is your favorite NYC hot spot?

The Slipper Room. It is the hot spot and clubhouse for downtown NYC burlesque and it’s reopening sometime this autumn after major renovations that include 16-foot ceilings–I can finally wear my giant headdresses without grazing/brushing or hitting the ceiling with it.

11: What turns you on?

Confidence and a great sense of humor. Also some really good dark chocolate.

12: What would the last question of this questionnaire be if you were the one asking?

If one of your dreams could be realized tomorrow, what would it be?
