Who Am I ?
1: Who am I?
Kat Typaldos (or Kathryn to my family). I’m a freelance stylist obsessed with grandmas and teenagers.
2: What do you do and what project are you currently working on?
I’m a freelance fashion stylist. I’m about to wrap a TV series, which has been super fun! I’m also working on art/fashion/video projects–the future is now!
3: Where are you from and where are you going?
I’m born and raised in NYC. After I learn to drive (I just got my permit last summer and failed my driving test twice! On the plus side, I got a pretty sweet permit picture), I plan on spending more time on the west coast.
4: Who is your biggest hero?
My family. And Stevie Nicks. And Tammy Taylor.
5: What book is your bible?
I love the anthology My Mistress’s Sparrow is Dead, edited by Jeffrey Eugenides
6: What are some things you love? And some things you hate?
7: What is your raison d’être?
8: What is your favorite color?
Right now, it is navy.
9: Who is your favorite comic book superhero?
Does Veronica from Archie comics count? She’s foxy.
10: What is your favorite NYC hot spot?
I love Five Leaves in Greenpoint! If NYC had a rollerskating rink, that would be my favorite hot spot.
11: What turns you on?
What doesn’t? It’s summertime!
12: What would the last question of this questionnaire be if you were the one asking?
Who would you cast as yourself in a movie of your life?
After working at W Magazine for five years, Kat Typaldos decided to pursue her career as a freelance stylist. Typaldos is from New York City and resides in Brooklyn. She collaborates with young emerging designers and works on commercial/advertising projects, tv/music videos, and art/concept based projects. She works closely with creative teams to help realize the vision of the shoot or client via wardrobe and concept in general. All that being said, she’s constantly hustling and loves working–creative collaborations get her engine going!
**Kat is in the midst of updating her site. If you know anyone who can help, she asks that you contact her, as she considers herself to be technologically inept.
