Who Am I ?
1: Who am I?
The Golden Throat of Burlesque.
2: What do you do and what project are you currently working on?
I am a “bring the house down” singer in the burlesque and NYC downtown scene. I’m currently juggling several projects–every second Monday of the month I rock out while fronting the band, Ticket to Ride, in Beatles Burlesque at Public Assembly. I am at Nurse Bettie on the LES every other Thursday. And I’m always booked several times a month with Floating Kabarette at Galapagos Art Space, and The Rum House in Times Square.
Also, look for me this October at BB Kings in the New York Burlesque Festival.
3: Where are you from and where are you going?
I’m originally from Baltimore, I live in Brooklyn, and I am going everywhere my heart takes me.
4: Who is your biggest hero?
Mmmm…I’ll take a BLT, please. Wait…what?
5: What book is your bible?
6: What are some things you love? And some things you hate?
Love: Crisp autumn air, peanut butter, soul, baby animals, kissing, traveling, NYC. I try not to waste too much energy on hate. It’s an energy sucker.
7: What is your raison d’être?
To make love to your eardrums.
8: What is your favorite color?
Pink, I think.
9: Who is your favorite comic book superhero?
I’ve always had a hard on for Batman. Michael Keaton’s Batman….
10: What is your favorite NYC hot spot?
Union Square Park. I could people and dog-watch for hours.. and I have. Plus, I love the green market there.
11: What turns you on?
12: What would the last question of this questionnaire be if you were the one asking?
Can I get a witness?
