Through “original sin” and overexposure in documentaries.

A John Waters Christmas”–my spoken word act celebrating the neurotic happiness of Xmas obsession. [Coming to New York City on December 19th and 20th.]

3: Where are you living?

Baltimore, New York, San Francisco and Provincetown–airports really.

4: What don’t we know about you?

I have always worn a wig and hope you never noticed the netting.

5: What is your favorite travel destination?

Home to Baltimore, the only place that routinely surprises me.

6: What inspires you?

Justin Bieber.

7: If not yourself, who would you be?

Alvin the Chipmunk.

8: What book is your bible?

Our Lady of the Flowers by Jean Genet.

9: What is your favorite word?


10: Who is your biggest hero?

My Mom and Dad for making me feel safe.

11: How would you define success?

Never having to be around assholes in personal or professional life.

12: What would the last question of this questionnaire be if you were the one asking?

If I have to think up the questions you owe me part of your paycheck.

John Waters is the revolutionary filmmaker behind such films as Pink Flamingos, Polyester, Hairspray and Cry-Baby. Not only is he a director of revolutionary films, he is also a writer, actor, comedian, journalist, visual artist and art collector.
