Who Am I ?

January 2012

1: Who am I?

Fashion blogger, social media manager, social butterfly, photography enthusiast, and dreamer.

2: What do you do and what project are you currently working on?

I’m a full-time social media manager at an advertising agency and a part-time fashion blogger. I’m working on spearheading and running social media campaigns for various clients as well as writing and securing advertisers for my blog The . My blog takes readers on a journey through my life in fashion. Each fashion show and event I attend you will read about it. I also offer fashion advice and style tips.

3: Where are you from and where are you going?

I’m originally from Odessa, Ukraine. I moved to the States when I was eight years old, knowing only two words of English. Now I’m living the American dream and working to make a name for myself in fashion.

4: Who is your biggest hero?

My biggest hero is my mom. She is the epitome of courage and strength.

5: What book is your bible?

If You Have to Cry, Go Outside: And Other Things Your Mother Never Told You by Kelly Cutrone. Kelly has definitely been one of my role models in fashion. She’s such a strong, powerful, and smart woman. Last season I had a chance to briefly meet her at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York. She was so nice in person but I definitely felt a little star struck!

6: What are some things you love? And some things you hate?

I love fashion, traveling, and photography. There is something about these three that can be so magical. Fashion will let you be whoever you want to be. Traveling gives you the freedom to go where ever you want to go. And photography lets you capture those precious moments in time when you wore that amazing dress and were chatting with Oscar winner Tilda Swinton at a VIP fashion show after party in Germany (yes, this really happened to me). There’s truly nothing like looking back at the life you’ve created for yourself and feeling as happy as you were in the picture.

Hate is a such a strong word but what I dislike most is people who belittle other people’s dreams and ambitions. There were so many instances in my life where I was told what I wanted to do was impossible and yet I’ve proven each of those people wrong.

7: What is your raison d’être?

The notion that tomorrow I will be one step closer to achieving my dream of making a name for myself in fashion and living the life I‘ve always envisioned for myself.

8: What is your favorite color?

I have a few: royal blue, red, and pink.

9: Who is your favorite comic book superhero?

Catwoman; I admire any woman who can pull off a skin-tight leather outfit!

10: What is your favorite NYC hot spot?

230 5th.

11: What turns you on?

Ambitious, intelligent, and funny men. I think I need a Chuck Bass to complete my Blair Waldrof Upper East Side fairytale. British accents are also a plus!

12: What would the last question of this questionnaire be if you were the one asking?

Q:What’s your favorite quote?

A: “Our truest life is when we are in dreams awake.” — Henry David Thoreau
