1: How do we know you?

I met Patrick like 5 years ago at some nightclub wearing a metallic spandex jumpsuit with a foam shoulder.

2: What is your latest project?

For our FW 2012 Collection we are partnering up with Makerbot Industries to create the very first downloadable fashion that you can print on their consumer-ready 3D printer, The Replicator. We have been working more with Will.i.am and Jim Steinman, developing new techniques in clothing. Also, we have begun conceptualizing a fashion art exhibition that highlights New York City.

3: Where are you living?

East Village.

4: What don’t we know about you?

When I was a kid I used to catch lizards and wear them as earrings…“Hayyyyy.

5: What is your favorite travel destination?

The Maldives.

6: What inspires you?

The journey for a cosmological explanation of the material world.

7: If not yourself, who would you be?

I wouldn’t be.

8: What book is your bible?

I can’t find a book with the answers I want. I always find that the best answers are within…still searching.

9: What is your favorite word?

Possessionlessnesses. It has the most s’s in the English language. Try saying it in a New Jersey accent.

10. Who is your biggest hero?

NA.

11: How would you define success?

Happiness.

Asher Levine is a fashion designer who moved to NYC in 2006.  Soonafter, early in his career, his experimental outfits were adapted by many nightlife personalities and could be seen across the New York underground club circuit. Asher’s debut Fall/Winter 2010 collection came shortly after his graduation from Pace University, at which point Asher started creating outfits for various prominent performance artists such as Lady Gaga and Sam Sparro. He’s been taking the fashion world by storm ever since.
