Who Am I ?
1: Who am I?
My name is Patrick Fields. Not like Patricia; her name does not have a ‘s’. You’d be surprised how many people make the reference.
2: What do you do and what project are you currently working on?
I work for Krizia as the boutique director. Krizia is in the midst of a major re-launch. It’s a very exciting time to be here. I moonlight as a wardrobe consultant. I work with men and women with real wardrobes and teach them the art of shopping smart, shopping their closet, of course.
3: Where are you from and where are you going?
I’m moved here from New Mexico eight years ago with $1000, five “stylish” bags of luggage, and no plan. I just knew that I wanted a job in the fashion industry and I needed to move to New York. Where am I going? I guess up. Got no place else to go! Keep your eyes on the prize and you’re bound to win first place: that’s what my mom always said.
4: Who is your biggest hero?
My mom by far–any woman that leaves home, gets in the army as a poor girl from Texas, has a baby, leaves him behind to serve, comes back and raises him by herself. Yeah, my mom by far.
6: What are some things you love? And some things you hate?
Some of the things that I love: I treasure long walks through the city, iPod in hand, dark sunnies, a great cup of coffee, and a smoke. I love seeing someone pay a compliment and recognizing that intimate moment between two strangers.
Hate? I don’t hate many things, but if I had to say one thing that is annoyance more so than hate it’s those people that move here and expect to have it quiet on a Friday night. When my neighbor knocks on the door citing that we are too loud, that’s when I want to say ‘Go back to the quiet town that you came from!’ It’s New York. Sometimes it gets loud.
7: What is your raison d’être?
To just be. To be present in this moment. Staying focused on what is. Staying open to what is. Knowing that the universe is abundant and that whatever energy we put forth is bound to manifest in our lives.
8: What is your favorite color?
A plummy lavender. Wait, is that two colors? I’m very specific.
9: Who is your favorite comic book superhero?
He-Man! Was he a comic book superhero? Well, he was my hero.
10: What is your favorite NYC hot spot?
I’m more of a good old fashioned bar kind of guy. I keep it local in Greenpoint. There was a great bar called Blackout but, sadly, it closed last month.
11: What turns you on?
A brilliant conversationalist. Nothing sexier.
12: What would the last question of this questionnaire be if you were the
Who would you do?
