Who Am I ?

February 2012

1: Who am I?

I’m a resident of Brooklyn and I have the coolest job in the world.

2: What do you do and what project are you currently working on?

I play music and work on fun projects with awesome people and brands from around the world. I just dropped the latest edition of my Fashion Week series with Stylecaster.com called “Sounds From The Front Row” this month. I think it’s the best one yet. I also co-own the mixtape streaming site MixStream.com. Check it out…and enjoy some music!

3: Where are you from and where are you going?

I’m originally from the midwest but now I’m the world’s happiest Brooklyn resident. It’s, to me, the best place in the whole world. But I wouldn’t mind having a house in Paris, also.

4: Who is your biggest hero?

My family. They all inspire me in different ways… so I’d say them. Larry Bird was awesome growing up as well.

5: What book is your bible?

The Bible. That’s an easy one.

6: What are some things you love? And some things you hate?

I love my beautiful wife, Rana. I love my cats. I love Chipotle. I hate when my wife doesn’t like something I do. I hate when my cats piss on the floor. I hate that there is only one Chipotle in Brooklyn, because Park Slope needs one.

7: What is your raison d’être?

Everyday I wake up and realize I get to do what I love for a living. That definitely keeps me going.

8: What is your favorite color?

It used to be blue and then green, but now I’d say it’s black.

9: Who is your favorite comic book superhero?

I’d probably say Iron Man because he uses his brain and creativity to solve his problems and do things. It’s brainpower and hard work; nothing magical about it. Plus, he is rich.

10: What is your favorite NYC hot spot?

The Darby.

11: What turns you on?

Being able to unplug and relax…which never happens.

12: What would the last question of this questionnaire be if you were the one asking?

Well, it would be: “How can people book you?” And I would say… you can visit MickBoogie.com and email at MickBoogie@MickBoogie.com and we can make it happen. Sorry for the shameless self-promotion, but you asked.
