Who Am I ?
1: Who am I?
A Sagittarius. I’m independent, adventurous, optimistic, and extremely creative.
2: What do you do and what project are you currently working on?
I work in reality television and my title often changes with each job. Currently I am an associate producer on a new series called Toy Hunters for the Travel Channel.
3: Where are you from and where are you going?
I was born and raised in Levittown, NY, and currently residing on the Upper East Side. I wish I knew where I was going since I’m freelance, but I’m enjoying the crazy ride I’ve been on and like to think there’s something amazing awaiting me in the near future. I’d be thrilled if a segment producer position on a creative talk show was in my near though.
4: Who is your biggest hero?
I can’t narrow down one particular person in my life who I consider my hero, but I have so many people around me who inspire me everyday. My parents and grandparents have been incredible role models in my life. My two older brothers always kept me on my toes growing up because anything they could do, I could do better.
I’m also fortunate enough to meet and work with new people often since I work on several shows a year. I’ve had many bosses and co-workers whom I look up to and strive to be like as well as some who I make note to never be like.
5: What book is your bible?
The Last Lecture by Randy Pausch. The book is full of inspiration. One of my favorite quotes is, “It’s not about how to achieve your dreams, it’s about how to lead your life…If you lead your life the right way, the karma will take care of itself, the dreams will come to you.” I’m not the type of person who will throw someone under the bus to get ahead. It’s nice to think that if you stay true to yourself and continue to work hard that eventually you will find yourself right where you belong.
6: What are some things you love? And some things you hate?
I love my family and friends. I love to travel and wish I did it more. I hate that my job usually requires 72-hour work weeks and keeps me from seeing my friends and family, as well as making plans in advance because I’m never sure when I will have off. But then again I’m glad to have a job that’s often exciting and sociable, so I really shouldn’t be complaining.
I also love shopping (for anything), cupcakes (baking and eating), photography (taking and admiring), sipping a good cup of coffee (hot or iced), and being outdoors in nice weather (swimming, hiking, bike riding, kayaking).
7: What is your raison d’être?
I haven’t fully figured that out just yet. I used to want to be famous when I was younger and then I decided I would much rather be well known. I want to leave a mark in a good way and have my actions continue to do something positive even when I’m gone.
8: What is your favorite color?
Black. And not in a depressing way. Black often has a bad rep and I think it’s actually a powerful color.
9: Who is your favorite comic book superhero?
I was never into comic books but I did watch Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman with my grandparents growing up. Dean Cain won me over every week
10: What is your favorite NYC hot spot?
I’ve recently moved closer to Central Park and the Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis Reservoir has become one of my favorite running spots.
11: What turns you on?
I love how this question just snuck in at the end and I don’t really know how to answer this without sounding like I’m filling out an online dating survey. Wait…is this a cover up for an online dating service set up by one of my friends (they would totally do that)?
A guy who knows how to work with his hands is always a turn on. I witnessed a guy change a flat tire in less than five minutes and it was extremely sexy.
12: What would the last question of this questionnaire be if you were the one asking?
Q: What is your favorite TV show?
A: I haven’t been watching too much TV lately because of my schedule but thanks to On Demand I’m able to watch Happy Endings, 30 Rock and my guilty pleasure Pretty Little Liars.
