Who Am I ?

ANGELINA LAVO

March 2012

1: Who am I?

I am a singer. A princess on the outside and a gangsta inside.

2: What do you do and what project are you currently working on?

Currently I’m working on my first EP called “Risque,” which is going to be released this spring. My first single “Circus Act” is doing really well (the video was so much fun to film!) and I just wrapped my next single’s video featuring a great rapper, Twista.

3: Where are you from and where are you going?

I’m from Russia originally and I’m ready to go all over the world to realize my dreams.

4: Who is your biggest hero?

My biggest hero is my grandma. She is a great woman and I’ve never seen any other person like her– she’s so inspiring.

5: What book is your bible?

I read many books, but for the last couple of years the one which I’m using most frequently and I cannot be without is my dictionary.

6: What are some things you love? And some things you hate?

I love to wake up in the morning and to see a sunny, beautiful day through the window– it really makes my day and makes me happy. I love listening to music, dancing, flirting, driving crazily and listening to gangsta music. I also love myself when I’m doing the right things.

I hate dishonesty, waiting, and being late. I also hate really bad smells.

7: What is your raison d’etre?

To enjoy this life and help others to enjoy it.

8: What is your favorite color?

It has to be red.

9: Who is your favorite comic book superhero?

I would say Superman!

10: What is your favorite NYC hot spot?

It’s not the hottest VIP club, it’s my balcony in midtown. I can see the city and enjoy the view, especially in the summer evenings.

11: What turns you on?

It depends, I love being risqué; I like a challenge. Of course, confidence is always key.

12: What would the last question of this questionnaire be if you were the one asking?

N/A

Angelina Lavo is a pop recording artist with a Russian edge and a sensual sound. Angelina grew up in an underprivileged community in Moscow where she turned to music as an escape from the street’s uncertainties. Despite criticisms from her family for exploring her passion for music, Angelina’s grandmother snuck her into music school as she recognized that it was the only time she saw the young songstress light up.

From a very young age, Angelina Lavo learned to play the piano and craft her unique sound. In spite of setting her dream on becoming a singer and performer, Angelina’s career took a different route, as she became a broadcast journalist. Through her experience as a journalist, Angelina was repeatedly pulled back towards music, interviewing a variety of entertainers and artists including Christina, a classic Russian band live on-air. After speaking with the international superstars, Angelina was invited to join them on tour as a back-up singer but Angelina was determined to create a name for herself and knew she had to escape the place and people that were holding her back.

In 2009, Angelina Lavo moved to New York City with dreams of pop stardom and an undying desire to share her music; since then her career has taken off. Angelina has garnered a dynamic team behind her strong talent and vocals. She is currently collaborating with Grammy-winning producer Omen (Lil Wayne, Drake, Fabolous) at Stadium Red recording studio on her EP, as well as Miami-based producer Lu Diaz (Pitbull) and songwriter Jillian Gottlieb (Kat Deluna).

The industry support has paid off as Angelina Lavo’s initial single “Circus Act” is on rotation on KTU, recently hit #16 on Reverb Nation, and is continuing to climb. Her music has taken off on YouTube when her single, Space Cowboy, reached nearly a half-million views in just a few months. Her debut EP album “Risque,” dropping this April, will introduce music fans to a new sound and talented pop artist.
