ABOUT

Luzerne County Pit Bull Owners, Inc. is a Pennsylvania not for profit organization that provides education and assistance to pit bull owners in Luzerne County, PA and beyond. Luzerne County Pit Bull Owners, Inc. offers programs to assist owners as well as pit bulls. NEPA Avail-a-bullies is a rescue program offered by the Luzerne County Pit Bull Owners, Inc. to help rescue and rehome pit bulls into loving and responsible homes.

The Luzerne County Pit Bull Owners NEPA Avail-a-bullies program does not put a time limit on how long a dog will be with their rescue. Every dog taken into their rescue is given as much time as needed to find the most appropriate home based on each dog as an individual. The NEPA Avail-a-bullies program is a foster home based program; this allows the dogs to be in a home environment while awaiting their adoption. Foster homes provide a safe home for dogs that need to recover from illness or are out of time in a shelter. Foster homes also set up the dogs for a more successful adoption by giving them the experience of living in a home. What also sets the Luzerne County Pit Bull Owner’s apart from other rescues is that they are not only rescuing and rehoming pit bulls but are assisting current and future pit bull owners to be responsible owners through their programs as well as training, education and socialization. For further information on donating, volunteering, fostering or adopting please visit the Luzerne County Pit Bull Owners, Inc. websites at www.lcpoinc.org and nepabullies.petfinder.org
