You Know Me !
1: How do we know you?
I am a world famous actress, singer, fashion icon and all-around diva, specializing in tirades, tantrums and extremely romantic liaisons with one very special frog.
2: What is your latest project?
I starred in the box office sensation, The Muppets, and am currently engaged in a multitude of fabulous entertainment collaborations that will leave you breathless with excitement. (I’m breathless just getting out that last sentence.) And, of course, I am waiting for my filmmakers to present me with another major star vehicle. With this next movie, it’s all about Oscar, Oscar, Oscar.
3: Where are you living?
Today, I am in New York City, one of the most fantastique destinations on the planet, made all the more thrilling when I am here. For moi, home is where the heart is…except when Kermit is in the swamp, then home prefers to wait for him in a major fashion capital.
4: What don’t we know about you?
Moi is humble and hates to draw attention to myself. After all, that’s my publicist’s job.
5: What is your favorite travel destination?
I am a well-known globetrotter who simply adores all of the usual hot spots. But when it comes to fashion, art, food and romance, New York in my favorite! There’s nothing quite like riding through Central Park in a horse-drawn carriage with my arm around my frog and a wagon-load of shopping bags trailing behind.
6: What inspires you?
My frog. My millions of screaming fans. Chocolate. Designer fashion. Jewelry. Trunk shows. And getting an Oscar. Not necessarily in that order.
7: If not yourself, who would you be?
There is no one I’d rather be than moi. However, if you’re casting someone to play moi in a biopic…Well, I am quite fond of Meryl Streep’s work.
8: What is your favorite book?
Well, my Kermie has a book coming out “Before You Leap” that’s fabulous and I wrote “The Diva Code”, but outside of the realm of books I’m plugging, I’m also rather fond of “Gone With The Wind”, especially the part where Scarlett never goes hungry again.
9: What is your favorite word?
10: Who is your biggest hero?
11: How would you define success?
Being an icon. It’s exactly like being a star, except you don’t have to actually do anything to win praise, adoration and all the swag that you can carry. For instance, as an icon I am admired by many world famous fashion designers! I am their muse! I inspire them to design for me! If I’d known about all this sooner, I’d have skipped the whole “star” phase and gone right to “icon.”
12: What would the last question of this questionnaire be if you were the one asking?
I get it: you’re too lazy to come up with your own last question. Fine….Let’s see what I got here. Okay, here’s the question: “After all you have achieved in life–the fame, the acclaim, the enormous entourage–what do you value most of all?” And the answer to that question is simple: “Kermie. Everything else are just perks.”
Miss Piggy is an international star of television and motion pictures, supermodel, fashion icon! It is no wonder that she is considered “the paradigm of porcine pulchritude.” Most recently, Miss Piggy starred as fashion editor for Paris Vogue in the international hit motion picture The Muppets. After spending more than a year preparing for the role, by living in Paris and buying expensive fashion, Miss Piggy was convinced this was the movie that would lead to her finally winning an Oscar. Unfortunately, Hollywood has yet to overcome its species bias against actresses who don’t happen to be human. (As a consolation, she did “borrow” the Oscar won by songwriter Brett McKenzie for Best Song, “Man or Muppet.”) Meanwhile, she continues her obsession with the two most important things in her life: her frog and her career (not necessarily in that order), as she prepares to star in her eighth motion picture, The Muppets II. Everyone hopes she wins an Academy Award for this, so Brett McKenzie can finally get his back.
