Who Am I ?
1: Who am I?
I am a self-obsessed creative conceptualizer. Oh, and I’m Andrew Tess.
2: What do you do and what project are you currently working on?
Through my pop-culture infused self-portraits I am exemplifying the lack of attention that has been bestowed upon our generation. This lack is partially due to an array of recent American mishaps. Social, economic, and environmental problems have deemed the outside world more important than the 1991 individual. By taking these close-up snapshots of myself, I’m overtly reclaiming, and thus forcing, the attention to be restored to you and I. This attention is the attention we deserve, the attention that is rightfully ours, and the attention that we have longed for since we were kids. Did I mention I scalp and sell tickets to my favorite pop gigs? I write songs on the subway and I have also designed a collection of rings.
3: Where are you from and where are you going?
I came from the light and that’s where I struggle to remain. This journey is ever so challenging.
4: Who is your biggest hero?
5: What book is your bible?
The Giving Tree by Shell Silverstein.
6: What are some things you love? And some things you hate?
I love men’s leggings and pastries. I don’t really hate anything, but I could say that I abhor the notion of sin and the need for contrition.
7: What is your raison d’être?
To remove ego. To shake things up. To wake up.
8: What is your favorite color?
9: Who is your favorite comic book superhero?
Betty, Veronica, & Archie.
10: What is your favorite NYC hot spot?
11: What turns you on?
Pop turns me on.
12: What would the last question of this questionnaire be if you were the one asking?
Diet Coke or Diet Pepsi?
