Lena Hall

Who Am I ?

Winter 2012-2013

Who am I?

I am the nightmare while you dream. I also go by Lena Hall.

What do you do? What projects are you currently working on?

I am the lead singer of The Deafening. We are resurrecting the seemingly antiquated art of Rock ‘N’ Roll. We just completed our first full length album Central Booking and it is a doozy.

Where are you from? And where are you going?

I was born and raised in Haight-Ashbury by 100 proof, pot burning, conservative hating, hippies and I’m on my way to Dunkin’ Donuts.

Who is your biggest hero?

Richard Prior or Bon Scott. I don’t think I need to elaborate.

What book is your bible?

The Secret to Teen Power. I totally used the law of attraction to get this interview.

What are some things you love and some things you hate?

I love candy, whiskey, the A chord, and singing. I hate heartburn, late fees, hangovers, and fish.

What is your raison d’étre?

To kick-ass and to chew bubblegum.

What is your favorite color?

High gloss black looks good on almost anything.

Who is your favorite comic book superhero?

Gary Busey.

What is your favorite NYC hotspot?

The Olive Garden.

What turns you on?

High Voltage Rock ‘N’ Roll.

What would the last question of this questionnaire be if you were the one asking?

What do you bench?

Lena Hall is one of the most sought after rock singers in New York City and is known for her acid spewed vocals and wild stage theatrics. She has an impressive resume performing on Broadway, in Television and Film, and has worked with Cyndi Lauper, Serj Tankian, and David Bryan to name a few. Lena is the lead singer of the popular NYC-based rock band The Deafening that is gearing up to release their first full length album entitled Central Booking in early 2013.
